Since its introduction in 1960, the Fender Jazz bass has long been a favourite in popular music and now with the Standard series from Fender anyone can own one. The Standard Jazz Bass incorporates many of the original model’s classic Fender “firsts,” such as the offset waist and ultra-slim fast-action neck. The upgraded 2009 model features include modern single–coil pickups, shielded body cavities, medium jumbo frets, a vintage–style Fender bridge, tinted neck (now available with a maple fretboard), three–ply parchment pickguard and a ’70s–era logo. The Standard Jazz Bass has the classic offset, contoured alder body with standard pickups and controls for definitive J Bass sound. The maple neck has a modern C profile, comfortable satin finish, rosewood fretboard, and 20 medium jumbo frets. Standard gig bag included.
